They’re probably recommending you do Search campaigns to steal competitor’s traffic.
You can basically bid for your competitor’s name. It works very well when their users are disapointed or don’t exactly find what they need.
You better make a dedicated LP per competitor too.

I have a stupid question. Why does SEO take so long?
You can get indexed by Google within days. Why is everyone saying it’s at least 3-6 months before you get the first results?
